    About the beans

    From the celebrated Attikan Estate, this SLN 795 Arabica is grown at a high altitude of 1650 metres. Its unique character comes from a semi-washed process where it's fermented with ‘mosto’—the coffee’s own fruit juice- in a low-oxygen environment before being slow-dried for 14-18 days.

      The Anduin is the great river, vast and ever-changing. This coffee embodies that spirit. Each sip is a current - the first wave is citrus and berry brightness, then tropical hints surface, finally flowing into a buttery smooth depth.       Unlock the Layers of Mosto

      The Anduin's complex flavour evolution shines through manual brewing methods. Use a 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio and grind fresh before brewing.

      Pour-Over (V60/Chemex): Best for clarity. Medium grind, 94°C water. Watch flavours shift from berries to citrus and tropical fruit, finishing buttery smooth.
      Aeropress: Slightly finer grind, 2-min steep. Brings out the concentrated richness and velvety mouthfeel.
      Siphon: For enthusiasts. Produces a clean, aromatic cup that highlights the wine-like acidity.
      Tasting Tip: Let the coffee cool — flavours evolve, revealing new layers as the cup settles.

      What is 'mosto' fermentation?

      Mosto is the sweet, pulpy juice from the coffee cherry itself. In this process, it's used as a natural starter to guide the fermentation, creating unique and complex fruit-forward flavours.

      How does this differ from a regular washed coffee?

      While it starts similarly, the addition of the mosto activator in a low-oxygen environment adds a layer of controlled, fruity fermentation that a standard washed coffee doesn't have

      Will this coffee be very acidic?

      It has a bright, wine-like acidity, but this is balanced by a very smooth and buttery mouthfeel, making for a complex but pleasant experience.
